Union Pine and Wine 10.13.18
Where do I start with this couple? Bri and PJ have been in my life for quite sometime now. My wife and Bri are best friends and they also look like they can be sisters. Sisters that both married filipinos ha ha! When I found out that PJ popped the question and Bri said yes, I had to be the one that captured their special day. My wife was Bri’s bridesmaid and I got to film all of the special moments. This day was magical and I would love to experience it again, and you can through this video ( Bri and PJ )
Union Pine is a warehouse building in Portland, Oregon that has been converted into a great space for entertaining guests from weddings to corporate parties and everything in between. Bri and PJ’s wedding was elegant yet bold, if that makes sense. From the colors to the choice of food and dessert, this was a total Bri and PJ wedding! Everything was under one roof, both ceremony and reception. The lighting outside was perfect as the sun was going down to give us a bit of golden hour before it went away for the day. I made sure to grab certain shots and slightly created moments that I needed to tell a compelling love story. It felt god to be thinking on my feet and trying t figure out how I can be creative with the city as my background. I think it turned out FIRE!
I definitely enjoyed myself a little more as a guest than a vendor but I also spent a lot of time capturing the important moments while I mingled. It’s hard when half the people at this wedding is in your friend circle and you’re working lol. You tend to slip a bit but at the end of the day, the cake got eaten, the drinks got drank, the dances got danced and the people kept partying! Thank you Bri and PJ for letting Expressive Wedding Films to document your wedding day!
